There was no burning or crusting at the bottom during cooking and, in our white rice test, we had beautifully fluffy rice for three in 24 minutes. It’s a dab hand at cooking rice, too, and has a number of preset functions to help you get it just right. Impressively, they cooked through but still completely held their shape and texture. We also threw in a few cubed raw potatoes alongside our meat to see how well these would cope. The meat was cooked in a packet curry sauce with no additional water, and became so tender that it fell off the bone as we were removing it from the pot.
